General Information
The Board of Education is the official governing body of District 709 Schools. Members of the Board of Education make decisions on school policy, budget, curriculum, and other governing issues. Seven members of the District 709 Board of Education are elected at large, with at least two from the unincorporated area of the Morton-Groveland communities. Typically, the Board meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at the Morton Education and Administration Center, 1050 S. Fourth Ave. The meeting location is posted at the District Office.
